Complete Guide: NTA NEET UG Photograph Guidelines & Postcard Size Maker
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate medical programs (MBBS, BDS, AYUSH) across India, has very specific and rigorous photo upload requirements.
Every NEET applicant must upload two distinct photograph types during online registration:
- Passport-Size Photograph: 10 KB to 200 KB (JPG/JPEG format), showing 80% face coverage against a white background.
- Postcard-Size Photograph (4” × 6”): 50 KB to 300 KB (JPG/JPEG format), required for physical pasting onto the NEET admit card during the examination.
UtilityHub's NEET Photo Size Tool includes dedicated presets for both standard passport size and the 4×6 postcard dimension, complete with candidate name and date stamp generation.

Why Candidates Get Disqualified on NEET Exam Day
- Spectacles with Tint or Reflection: NTA prohibits dark glasses or tinted frames. If power glasses must be worn, there must be zero flash reflection concealing the eyes.
- Different Photo on Admit Card: The postcard photo pasted onto the attendance sheet and proforma on exam day must be identical to the photograph uploaded online. Always produce 4–6 copies of the same image.
- Missing Name & Date Stamp: The name of the candidate and the date on which the photo was clicked must appear clearly on the lower section of the image.
